Lake Characteristics: Salerno Lake is about 4 miles (6.4 km) long. It is a narrow lake that resembles a large river. The lake is in a big valley, and the water level drops off rather quickly. Most places in the lake are about 25 feet (7.6 m) deep, but there are two spots where it can get as deep as 45 feet (14 m). White Lake empties into Salerno Lake, which empties into the Irondale River, which empties into Burnt River. Like all of the water bodies in this system, the lake was used to transport logs to Toronto in the 19th and 20th Century. There is a dam at each end of the lake - manually controlled by MNR.

Fish and Wildlife: Salerno Lake is home to smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, perch, walleye, and muskie. It also has rock bass, sunfish, mussels, and crayfish.

Cottagers' Association: The Salerno (Devil's) Lake Cottagers' Association (SDLCA) has been contributing to the environment and community surrounding Salerno Lake since 1966. Today SDLCA is made up of unpaid volunteers who work hard to help ensure the future of our Lake. Our GOAL is to build a community, keep our members educated and updated on events & changes that may impact our lake, and represent our members when they  are not there.  The association encourages all cottagers to become a member. To learn more about what we do simply click "Our Association" from the main menu.

Cottage: There are approximately 224 cottages (206 lots - 18 backlots) on Salerno Lake, all accessible from side roads and one public boat launch.
